Case Study: Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach

We have the proven processes, technology, and local expertise to lead complex recovery efforts when disaster strikes. When Hurricane Ian made landfall in September 2022, devastating Fort Myers Beach, our team was already prepared. Utilizing our standard hurricane protocols and OpenSpace technology, we thoroughly documented site conditions in advance – accelerating insurance coordination, minimizing disputes, and enabling a faster, smarter recovery.
In the weeks following the storm, DeAngelis Diamond led cleanup and restoration efforts at the Margaritaville Resort site. Additionally, our team transformed the project into a relief hub, serving 300 hot meals daily to first responders and residents for three weeks. Despite access challenges and storm-related delays, our team delivered a comprehensive recovery in just six months, including redesign, re-permitting, and full site restoration.
This $12 million restoration project showcased our ability to mobilize quickly, manage logistics in disaster zones, and collaborate with public and private stakeholders to get communities back on track. In Summer 2024, we returned to support additional recovery services following hurricanes Helene and Milton – reaffirming our commitment to this community and our unmatched readiness to bring hope and rapid recovery.
