The Lee Building Industry Association’s (Lee BIA) Summit Awards were held at the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa on Saturday, October 15th.
DeAngelis Diamond Construction and DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group were presented with the awards for:
- Best Commercial Contractor Project – Public Works, for Fire Station #1
- Best Commercial Contractor Project – Healthcare, for Hendry Regional Medical Center
- Merit Award – Commercial Contractor Project – Commercial, for Naples Mazda
This Summit Awards program is the only one of its kind in Southwest Florida, the goal of this event is to celebrate success and professionalism within the commercial and remodeling industry. Created by the Commercial Contractors Council of the Lee BIA, the Summit Awards provides an opportunity to recognize excellence in this effort. Judging takes place outside of the local area with experienced industry professionals.
Reggie Morgan named to Business Review’s 40 Under 40

Reggie Morgan, CEO of DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group has been recognized in the Gulf Coast Business Review’s 2011 40 Under 40 selections. Each year, the Business Review selects 40 individuals under 40 years old from the business community. Carefully selected from nominations and original reporting, these individuals represent the best and brightest from Tampa to Naples.
“There are a lot of publications that do similar lists each year,” says Kat Hughes, Business Review managing editor. “We wanted our list to stand apart as a group of young professionals who aren’t afraid to take charge and take risks in their business. DeAngelis Diamond completes the first collegiate high school in Lee County

A new addition to the Edison State College – Lee Campus was recently completed by DeAngelis Diamond Construction. The Edison Collegiate High School will be the first collegiate high school in Lee County. The new single-story building addition includes a cafeteria, wet and dry laborites, classrooms, a kitchen, meeting rooms, and a paved courtyard. The 23,000 sq. ft building was designed by BSSW Architects, and is pursuing a LEED silver rating from the USGBC.

DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group awarded Park Royal Psychiatric Hospital

DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group was recently awarded the Park Royal Psychiatric Hospital, located on the HealthPark campus in Fort Myers, FL. This 76 bed in-patient psychiatric hospital facility will house 4 nursing units, a 19-bed Seniors Transitions Program, a 19-bed Seniors Intervention Program, a 19-bed Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit, and a 19-bed Adult Treatment Program. Architecture, Incorporated design the facility. The project is currently in pre construction phase and is slated to begin construction by March, 2011.
