John M. DeAngelis was born in West Virginia, and grew up in Naples, Florida. He attended the University of Florida where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction.  John is a State of Florida Certified General Contractor, and co-founded DeAngelis Diamond Construction, Inc. in 1996. Not only is he founder of DeAngelis Diamond Construction, John has helped establish several other successful companies within the real estate development and construction industry.  He also has an interest in the technology industry and has acted as an angel investor for multiple budding tech startup companies. As an avid entrepreneur, John has been a guest speaker at numerous business classes at Ave Maria University and Florida Gulf Coast University.  

John currently serves on the boards of Kingdom Mobilization, Transform Asia, Sunrise World Hope, and the Leadership Foundations of America Advisory Board.  In addition, John is an active member of Summit Church, and acts as Treasurer and Stewardship Team Chairman, and he also enjoys playing electric guitar in the Summit Church Worship Band.

John is not simply a leader within the Southwest Florida community, but also involves himself and his company in many national and international charity organizations.  He and his family travel frequently on Christian missions to Cambodia, Haiti and South America working with orphanages and ministries that rescue women and children from the plight of human trafficking.

In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and children Lauren, Drue, and Maddie.  John and Kelly have also begun the international adoption process and will soon have a new addition to the family.
